After nearly six years of serving the Upper West Side, Thyme & Tonic, also known as PrimeThyme, has announced it will close on November 5th, 2025.
The popular Manhattan restaurant shared the news on social media, confirming that this marks the end of one chapter and also the beginning of another for the team behind the well-known Modern Bread & Bagel brand.<\/p>\n

A Beloved Kosher Spot Nearing Its Final Service<\/p>\n

Since opening, originally as a kosher vegan spot, Thyme & Tonic has been a fixture in the neighborhood, recognized for its lively energy, fresh seasonal menus, and creative pop-up concepts. The restaurant built a loyal following among locals and visitors alike, offering a modern, plant-forward approach to kosher dining in an inviting atmosphere. With dishes that evolved each season and a team dedicated to keeping things innovative, the space became a reliable spot for weekday dinners, special occasions, and Shabbat takeout alike.<\/p>\n

The closure of Thyme & Tonic will not be the end for this team, it is a transformation. The restaurant\u2019s owners, who also run the acclaimed Modern Bread & Bagel chain of gluten-free kosher caf\u00e9s, are already at work on their next concept.<\/p>\n

Replacing Thyme & Tonic will be a Mexican fusion restaurant, offering full sit-down dining with waiter service. More information about the new venture will be released next week. The team plans for the new restaurant to open soon after Thyme & Tonic\u2019s closure, maintaining the same commitment to quality, freshness, and gluten-free dining that has defined their other ventures.<\/p>\n

Location and Certification<\/p>\n

Thyme & Tonic is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and is kosher certified by NKS. Its final day of service will be Wednesday, November 5th, 2025.
