(PIX11) \u2014 A Citi Bike rider is in critical condition after being hit by an SUV in Lower Manhattan early Wednesday morning, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened around 5:41 a.m. at the intersection of Franklin Street and Church Street.<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/pix11.com\/\" class=\"promo-link__link\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\tDiscover more local reporting on our homepage\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Police say the cyclist, a 24-year-old woman heading north on Church Street, was struck by a Nissan SUV traveling east on Franklin Street.<\/p>\n<p>EMS transported the woman to a local hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the SUV, a 54-year-old man, remained on the scene. He and a 60-year-old passenger were not injured.<\/p>\n<p>An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
