\n\tMore than 20 years after debuting their first collaboration, Stella McCartney<\/a> and H&M decided it was time for an encore<\/a>. And, naturally, a party.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe brands reunited in New York<\/a> on Wednesday night to take their upcoming collection, available on May 7, out on the town for a test spin at a club in Chelsea. Pieces from the collaboration were worn by models and friends of the brand, including Rene\u00e9 Rapp, Yasmin Wijnaldum, Lila Moss, Amelia Gray, Charlotte Lawrence, Julez Smith and Lux Pascal.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI had a very late fitting. I had just flown in, and I was like, \u2018I\u2019m scared everything\u2019s gonna be taken. Everyone definitely raided all the looks,’\u201d said Gray. Luckily, there was plenty to go around. \u201cI walked into the showroom and I said: \u2018I want that.\u2019 I saw it on the mannequin,\u201d added Gray, describing her sequined fringe bra top. \u200a<\/p>\n

\n\tThe model has a busy few days ahead: she came straight from set, and is headed back to set in the morning, before flying 20 hours for another shoot. And then it\u2019s back to New York<\/a> on Saturday to prepare for the Met Gala.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u200aIt\u2019s gonna be my favorite Met Gala ever,\u201d said Gray. \u201cI\u2019m very excited. I have a beautiful team of people that have been working really hard to make my vision come to light. \u200aThe theme is kind of up for interpretation. \u200aIt\u2019s art in the eye of the beholder. Because it\u2019s not as finite, there\u2019s this ability to play and collaborate, which I really love.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cParty\u201d and \u201ccollaboration\u201d described the theme on Wednesday night. Inside the packed red-lit room, servers were passing around boxes of Stella x H&M branded pizza boxes as a lineup of DJs including Mark Ronson, Zuri Marley and Daisy O\u2019Dell took the stage throughout the evening. Shortly after Stella McCartney<\/a>\u2019s arrival, alongside Janelle Mon\u00e1e, British rapper Dave marked the event\u2019s halfway point with a surprise performance for the lively crowd. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019ve been dressing a lot of people and just having fun. We are good at throwing parties,\u201d said Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M\u2019s head of design and creative adviser, describing the evening\u2019s scene. \u201cGood music, good entertainment, very great DJs. So it\u2019s just a fun evening together.
