The nonbinary actor, who has appeared on Power Book II: Ghost<\/a>, Russian Doll<\/a>, and Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens<\/a>, filed a discrimination lawsuit<\/a> against the New York hotel on Wednesday.<\/p>\n Wesley Han as Pinky on ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ with Michael Rainey Jr According to the complaint reviewed by Entertainment Weekly, Han was attending a private event at the luxury hotel on March 5 and attempted to use the ladies\u2019 room while dressed in \u201cwomen\u2019s slacks, heels, earrings, a purse, and a Dion Lee blazer \u2014 an elegant, unmistakably feminine-coded outfit that reflected Wesley\u2019s style, identity, and confidence.\u201d<\/p>\n While in a private stall, Han heard a security guard ask women in the restroom\u2019s foyer, \u201cExcuse me, ladies, have you seen a man enter?\u201d<\/p>\n Han\u2019s discrimination lawsuit alleges the security guard was told \u201cno,\u201d but entered the women\u2019s room regardless and walked straight to Han\u2019s stall. In a \u201ccommanding tone,\u201d the guard instructed Han, \u201cCome on out of there.\u201d<\/p>\n Han complied, but their request to wash their hands was denied, adds the complaint: \u201cInstead, the security guard escorted Wesley to the men\u2019s restroom, where Wesley washed their hands.\u201d<\/p>\n As a result, Han \u201csuffered humiliation, embarrassment, emotional distress, mental anguish, and other compensatory damages in an amount to be determined at trial.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhat was supposed to be a fun and memorable evening instead turned into a deeply humiliating and distressing ordeal,\u201d Han\u2019s complaint states.<\/p>\n Entertainment Weekly reached out to Wesley Han\u2019s lawyer and the Soho Grand Hotel for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.<\/p>\n Han appeared in five episodes of the Power<\/a> spinoff, Power Book II: Ghost, as private investigator Pinky.
