(Gray DC) &#8211; King Charles III and Queen Camilla wrapped up the final day of their U.S. tour in Virginia on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Thousands came out to downtown Front Royal to celebrate both America 250 and the royal visit. The event featured song and dance performances by Appalachian culture groups. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The king and queen visited Shenandoah National Park and experienced an all-American potluck during their stop.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Two royal fans who attended the event said the visit was significant for the community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe broke up 250 years ago and so now we thought it would be a good idea to get back together. This is huge for Front Royal,\u201d Sarah Morey said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The event spanned the entire downtown area. Attendees passed through Secret Service checkpoints, and officers were positioned on roofs to ensure security during the visit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">After Virginia, the pair heads to Bermuda, which is part of the UK Commonwealth.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Gray DC.
