Wendy\u2019s has brought back its Sweet and Sour dipping sauce after months of backlash from customers.<\/p>\n
The sauce was scrapped in September 2025 as part of a broader menu shake-up that cut several originals, including Ghost Pepper Ranch and BBQ, and introduced a new lineup featuring Signature, Scorchin\u2019 Hot, Creamy Ranch, Honey BBQ, Honey Mustard and Sweet Chili.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter nearly seven months of thousands of social media comments, posts and tags demanding its return, the beloved tangy, savory dip is back,\u201d a spokesperson told USA TODAY<\/a> on Monday. <\/p>\n The sauce officially returned April 27 \u2014 but with a catch.<\/p>\n Wendy\u2019s said it is only back for a limited time unless customers \u201cshow us how much they love it by ordering the sauce and by liking, commenting and sharing this post\u201d on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cAt Wendy\u2019s, we\u2019re always listening to our fans \u2014 and they made it clear they wanted Sweet and Sour sauce back,\u201d a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s available now for a limited time only. However, Wendy\u2019s fans can ultimately determine if it sticks around by ordering the sauce with their meals and getting loud on social media.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans launched a campaign to bring back the tangy dipping sauce after it was pulled from the menu. Wendy’s<\/p>\n Content creator Jaz Smith was among those who pushed for the condiment\u2019s comeback, posting a TikTok video in October<\/a> saying she was \u201cappalled\u201d by the decision.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is so serious,\u201d Smith said. \u201cI think Wendy\u2019s has the best sweet and sour, and I\u2019m appalled that they would do such a thing.
