During the meetup, the sources said, he apparently invited her back to his apartment, where the sexual assault occurred.<\/p>\n<p>The victim managed to flee the scene on her own power, police reported. She was taken via private means to a local hospital for treatment.\n<\/p>\n<p>The incident was later reported to the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nypd63pct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">63rd Precinct<\/a>. Through April 26, the precinct had reported seven rape cases, up from six at the same point in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Video footage of the suspect in the April 16 case shows the suspect walking around inside a convenience store prior to the attack.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>He is pictured with a medium complexion and wearing a black baseball cap with a white logo on the front, an open, black short-sleeved shirt with white trims over a blue t-shirt, dark-colored pants and black-and-white sneakers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information regarding the sexual assault or the suspect\u2019s whereabouts can call the NYPD\u2019s Sex Crimes Hotline at 212-267-7273 or 646-610-7272; or the Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA).
