(WIBW) &#8211; A man is being held in the Riley County Jail under a $40,000 bond after being arrested Thursday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the Riley County Police Department, Elijah James Smith, 29, of Manhattan, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. on April 30 in the 1000 block of South Seth Child Road. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Smith was arrested in connection with four counts of violating the offender registration act, two counts of perjury and one count of aggravated violation of the offender registration act. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He was issued a total bond of $40,000 and remains in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WIBW.
