Nail-biting video shows fed-up Brooklyn drivers head the wrong way on the highway in a reckless move to avoid gridlock traffic from the annual TD Five Boro Bike Tour.<\/p>\n

Video of the chaos posted on social media by the Williamsburg News<\/a> shows cars stranded \u2014 some face to face \u2014 as outraged drivers opted to go the wrong way on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway near the Wythe Avenue exit Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Tens of thousands of cyclists \u2014 including New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani \u2014 participated in the 40-mile ride<\/a> that spans all of the Big Apple\u2019s boroughs.<\/p>\n

The event, which dates back to 1977, caused multiple major bridges and roadways to shut down.<\/p>\n

While participating in part of the popular bike riding event, Mamdani bashed US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as \u201ccruel and inhumane\u201d hours after a violent clash erupted between anti-ICE protesters and cops outside a Brooklyn hospital.<\/p>\n
