A 12-year-old Bronx girl was so viciously attacked by her mom\u2019s ex that she needed surgery to remove \u201can unknown sharp object from her brain,\u201d prosecutors revealed Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Joshua Burnside, 28, allegedly used a crochet needle, a spoon, a fork, a plate and tongs to attack the youngster during the gruesome Oct. 22 assault \u2014 including ramming a \u201ctool\u201d into the girl\u2019s nose<\/a> so violently that she suffered injuries to both eyes, according to a criminal complaint. <\/p>\n

The shocking new details emerged as Bronx prosecutors arraigned Burnside on upgraded attempted murder charges in the attack that also left the injured girl\u2019s mom, model Karizma Dabney, with multiple stab wounds to her head and stomach, the DA\u2019s office said. <\/p>\n

Burnside is accused of stabbing Dabney during the vicious assault in her East 173rd Street apartment.<\/p>\n

The wounded mom, who was stabbed in the head and stomach, frantically kicked on neighbors\u2019 doors<\/a> in a desperate attempt to save her daughter\u2019s life, neighbors told The Post.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was kicking my door and screaming something like, \u2018Oh my God! Oh my God!\u2019 \u201d one resident said. \u201cIt was when the cops got here that she told the cops that she was stabbed. And then that her kids were still inside and [the suspect] wouldn\u2019t open the door and let her back inside.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said that after cops took Burnside away, \u201c[Dabney] said something like, \u2018Oh, this is what I get for allowing him to come visit his kids\u2019 or something like that. \u2018I allow him to come see the kids, and that\u2019s what ended up happening.\u2019\u201c<\/p>\n

The injured girl was rushed to Cohen\u2019s Children\u2019s Medical Center in Queens, where she underwent surgery<\/a> \u201cto remove an unknown sharp object from her brain and to treat sharp force injuries to her body,\u201d according to the criminal complaint. <\/p>\n

Prosecutors said the youngster, whose name is being withheld, was stabbed \u201cnumerous times about the face and body with various sharp objects, including but not limited to a knife, fork, spoon, plate, tongs, crochet needle, and other sharp metal objects causing multiple bleeding lacerations, as well as extreme swelling and bruising to both eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dabney underwent surgery on her stomach, prosecutors said. <\/p>\n

Burnside was arrested and charged with assault and child endangerment in the alleged attack, and was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for an undisclosed reason.<\/p>\n

He was later transferred to Bellevue Hospital, and was arraigned from his hospital bed Wednesday on attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment charges. <\/p>\n
