Westchester Parks Foundation<\/a>\u00a0will kick off the 52nd Annual Bicycle\u00a0Sundays\u00a0season on Sunday, May 3, welcoming residents and visitors back to the Bronx River Parkway for another season of car-free outdoor recreation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Held on select\u00a0Sundays\u00a0throughout the spring, summer, and fall, Bicycle\u00a0Sundays\u00a0opens nearly 6.5 miles of the Bronx River Parkway to bicyclists, skaters, joggers, and walkers of all ages, creating a safe and scenic environment free of vehicular traffic. The program is presented by Westchester County Parks and sponsored by the Westchester Parks Foundation and its partners, through generous donations from co-presenting sponsors\u00a0Con Edison<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0NewYork-Presbyterian\u00a0<\/a>Danny Cycles in Scarsdale is the official Bicycle Sponsor. The event attracts more than 60,000 residents and visitors each year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Back by popular demand, earlier hours will be added for\u00a0Sundays\u00a0in June and July, giving participants the opportunity to enjoy the parkway during cooler morning hours.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 2026 Bicycle\u00a0Sundays\u00a0schedule includes:\u00a0<\/p>\n

May: 3, 10, 17, 31 \u2014 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

June: 7, 14, 21, 28 \u2014 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.<\/p>\n

July: 12, 26 \u2014 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.<\/p>\n

September: 13, 20, 27 \u2014 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

October: 4 \u2014 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

*Please note: Bicycle\u00a0Sundays\u00a0will not take place on Memorial Day weekend, Fourth of July weekend, or Labor Day weekend.<\/p>\n

First launched in 1974, Bicycle\u00a0Sundays\u00a0has become a beloved Westchester tradition, offering a unique way to experience the natural beauty of the Bronx River Reservation and the historic Bronx River Parkway, recognized as the nation\u2019s first parkway and a designated National Historic Landmark.<\/p>\n
