It’s the first Monday in May, and you know what that means: It’s officially time for the 2026 Met Gala. Celebrities across film, TV, music, sports, and beyond have decamped from their homes in the Hollywood Hills for a temporary stay at the Mark Hotel. Per the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this year’s theme is “Costume Art,” coupled with a Costume Institute exhibition featuring 400 objects that connect the worlds of fashion and fine art. Appropriately the Met Gala offered up “Fashion Is Art” as a dress code, leaving the rest of the details for invitees and their team of high-end stylists to flesh out.

Naturally, Vogue likes to hold the VIP guest list hostage until the moment attendees start marching up the steps to the Met. But we — and the dedicated paparazzo of Manhattan — did our best sleuthing over the weekend to keep you abreast of the impending cameos. From host-committee members Sabrina Carpenter and Doja Cat to gala regulars Kim Kardashian and Serena Williams, here’s who’s been spotted flitting around the city, seemingly getting ready for fashion’s biggest night.

Serena Williams heads to Anna Wintour’s pre-Met Gala dinner in NY. pic.twitter.com/wWSVNIY9nj

— 21 (@21metgala) May 4, 2026

Bad Bunny in New York. pic.twitter.com/WCJw9nra0f

— 21 (@21metgala) May 4, 2026

Rihanna spotted in New York ahead of the Met Gala. pic.twitter.com/S4pmTIFpbP

— FentyStats (@FentyStats) May 4, 2026

Olivia Rodrigo in New York. pic.twitter.com/rxoxY2nIfA

— 21 (@21metgala) May 4, 2026

Sabrina Carpenter was seen arriving to attend Anna Wintour’s pre-Met Gala dinner. pic.twitter.com/xKqa1nkOef

— 21 (@21metgala) May 3, 2026

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner in New York City. pic.twitter.com/X2EyFBycD7

— 21 (@21metgala) May 3, 2026

Naomi Osaka is seen arriving at The Mark Hotel in New York City for the Met Gala. pic.twitter.com/j412MmF8fX

— 21 (@21metgala) May 4, 2026

Venus Williams heads to Anna Wintour’s pre-Met Gala dinner in New York. pic.twitter.com/iN32mTwNJn

— 21 (@21metgala) May 4, 2026

Gabrielle Union-Wade and Dwyane Wade in New York City. pic.twitter.com/UI4kqPJIqc

— 21 (@21metgala) May 4, 2026

JENNIE in New York City. pic.twitter.com/wPV8E6jllh

— 21 (@21metgala) May 3, 2026

Hudson Williams in New York. pic.twitter.com/Dg8WdoTM6b

— 21 (@21metgala) May 4, 2026

Connor Storrie in New York City. pic.twitter.com/fpdVhqJn2F

— 21 (@21metgala) May 3, 2026

Kim Kardashian in New York City. pic.twitter.com/Ltqbt1tsnI

— 21 (@21metgala) May 3, 2026

Kendall Jenner in New York. pic.twitter.com/oNIMArFADG

— 21 (@21metgala) May 3, 2026

Charli XCX arrived her hotel for Met Gala pic.twitter.com/3rOpTEXDc7

— Met Gala 2026 (@2026MetGala) May 4, 2026

🚨MEU DEUS!!
