Hurricane Melissa has devastated parts of Jamaica, leaving homes and businesses with no roofs and streets covered in mud and debris – and Jamaicans in the Bronx are stepping up to help.<\/p>\n
The JahJah Foundation, led by Dr. Trevor Dixon, is collecting donations and supplies to send to Jamaica, including building materials and basic necessities.<\/p>\n
Items can be dropped off at The Dumpling Shop in Baychester, where the goal is to fill two containers within the next three weeks.<\/p>\n
One container will be filled with building supplies, and the second container will be filled with essential goods.<\/p>\n
The JahJah Foundation, which operates in the Bronx, works to improve healthcare and provide medical support across Jamaica.<\/p>\n
Now, it\u2019s expanding its mission to deliver immediate relief to families who\u2019ve lost everything.<\/p>\n
