A Dairy Queen location in Southwestern Pennsylvania was hit with several health violations after in inspection on Monday.<\/p>\n
The PA Department of Agriculture\u2019s Bureau of Food Safety says the Dairy Queen on West George Street in Carmichaels was hit with six violations following the inspection.<\/p>\n
Ruled \u201cout of compliance\u201d, inspectors say they found a \u201cblack mold like substance\u201d inside of an ice machine. The unit was shut down and the ice was thrown away.<\/p>\n
Other issues include a \u201cheavy build-up\u201d of food inside a sandwich unit, old, splattered food inside a microwave, old, splattered food build-up in a cooler, area around lids for toppings with \u201cheavy build-up of old encrusted food\u201d and a busted plastic tray for hot hamburger storage.<\/p>\n
Floors throughout the facility (kitchen, walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer) have heavy accumulation of dirt and other debris.<\/p>\n
There were also other issues including a black mold substance in the caulking along the back of a three-bowl sink and no cold running water in the hand washing sink.<\/p>\n
