Dartmouth&#8217;s pitching dominated, allowing just four wins to help the Big Green to the 1-0 victory over the Jaspers.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nWith the win, the Big Green improve to 15-22 overall and post a 9-6 record in home games. This is now the second straight year Dartmouth has had a winning record at home.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nEach team sprinkled base runners across the first few innings, including the Big Green loading the bases in the second, but the game remained scoreless. The Jaspers then put a runner at third with only one out in the fourth, but <a href=\"https:\/\/dartmouthsports.com\/sports\/baseball\/roster\/nate-kugler\/41213\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"41213\" target=\"_blank\">Nate Kugler<\/a> got out of the jam on the mound.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nDartmouth was able to break through the scoreless tie in the fifth. With two outs, <a href=\"https:\/\/dartmouthsports.com\/sports\/baseball\/roster\/nico-ba-ntilde-ez\/41204\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"41204\" target=\"_blank\">Nico Ba\u00f1ez<\/a> was hit by the pitch, coming around to score on a <a href=\"https:\/\/dartmouthsports.com\/sports\/baseball\/roster\/sam-andersen\/41225\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"41225\" target=\"_blank\">Sam Andersen<\/a> triple, his third of the weekend, as the Big Green took a 1-0 lead.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nManhattan immediately threatened to get on the board in the sixth, loading the bases with one out. <a href=\"https:\/\/dartmouthsports.com\/sports\/baseball\/roster\/mac-burke\/41206\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"41206\" target=\"_blank\">Mac Burke<\/a>, who entered the game in the fifth in relief of Kugler, got himself out of trouble as the Big Green held onto their lead.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Big Green continued to pressure over the later innings putting two runners on in the sixth and loading the bases in the seventh and eighth, but the Jaspers&#8217; pitching was able to stop the pressure, keeping it a one-run game.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nDespite a leadoff walk in the ninth, the Jaspers were unable to muster up any more offense, as the Big Green held on to secure the series win with the 1-0 victory.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nKugler pitched the first four innings, allowing just one hit. He dealt four walks but fanned five in his scoreless outing.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nBurke made his team-leading 18th appearance of the year, allowing just three hits in five scoreless innings to earn the win. He fanned two and walked one.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nWhile the home slate of games in the 2026 campaign has wrapped, the Big Green will officially conclude the regular season next weekend, playing one more Ivy League series.
