{"id":22250,"date":"2025-10-30T06:26:19","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T06:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/22250\/"},"modified":"2025-10-30T06:26:19","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T06:26:19","slug":"legal-battle-erupts-over-courthouse-building-facing-foreclosure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/22250\/","title":{"rendered":"Legal battle erupts over courthouse building facing foreclosure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN \u2014 A high-stakes court battle is underway over 141 Livingston St., the 15-story building housing Kings County Civil Court, as lenders move to foreclose on Clipper Realty, the property\u2019s owner, reports Crain\u2019s New York Business.<\/p>\n<p>Clipper, led by CEO David Bistricer, calls the foreclosure \u201cfrivolous,\u201d arguing lenders are trying to oust the court ahead of its Dec. 27 lease expiration in order to seize the building.
