Russell Wilson is mulling over an offer to join the Jets.<\/p>\n
Wilson, 37, left his free-agent visit to the Jets facility<\/a> last week with an opportunity to sign a contract and join a depth chart headed by his friend and former Seahawks teammate Geno Smith, he told The Post.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was great,\u201d Wilson said as one of the dozens of celebrities on the trading floor at BTIG Charity Day. \u201cThey offered me, and I\u2019m trying to figure out what the next best thing is for me to do. I still know I can play ball at a high level, but also I have an opportunity to do TV<\/a> (analysis), so we\u2019ll see what happens.\u201d<\/p>\n The Jets\u2019 biggest need is a veteran backup quarterback to place between Smith and the inexperienced trio of rookie fourth-round pick Cade Klubnik, Bailey Zappe and Brady Cook.
