The Times has added an average of 330,000 total subscribers a quarter, including print, since the start of last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-ac37hb evys1bk0\">Total revenue for the quarter was $712.2 million, up 12 percent from a year earlier. Adjusted operating profit hit $117.9 million, up 27.2 percent. Adjusted operating costs increased 9.4 percent year over year to $594.3 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-ac37hb evys1bk0\">Digital-only average revenue per user, a metric used to measure the health of the subscription business, rose 2.4 percent, to $9.77, from the same quarter last year. Digital advertising revenue increased 31.6 percent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-ac37hb evys1bk0\">Digital-only subscription revenue grew to $389 million, an increase of 16.1 percent year over year.
