SOUTH RICHMOND HILL, Queens (PIX11) \u2014 One person was found dead after a house fire in Queens on Thursday, according to the FDNY.<\/p>\n

The person was pronounced dead on arrival at 94-44 Lefferts Blvd around 7:12 a.m., fire officials said.<\/p>\n

According to a preliminary investigation, the fire appeared to start in the rear of the building just before 6:45 a.m. However, firefighters were able to get it under control within the hour.<\/p>\n

The person has not yet been identified and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.<\/p>\n

Thursday\u2019s deadly fire comes a day after another person was killed in a grocery store fire<\/a> in the Bronx and three people were killed<\/a> in an apartment building fire in Manhattan on Monday.<\/p>\n

Massive fires also forced a vacate order<\/a> at the \u201cBook of Mormon\u201d theater on Monday and destroyed a warehouse<\/a> in Belleville, New Jersey on Sunday.<\/p>\n
