A conservative who\u2019s on the board of National Review magazine, Bahnsen finds the city\u2019s liberal policies \u201ccontemptible.\u201d Most of all, he dislikes NYC\u2019s tax rates, the highest in the nation, which he argues actually deprive the city of precious revenue by pushing away wealthy people like him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ArticleBodyText_articleBodyContent__17wqE typography_articleBody__3UcBa\" data-component=\"paragraph\">Nevertheless, New York City exerts a magnetic hold on the 51-year-old. Many mornings you\u2019ll find Bahnsen jogging around Central Park, a verdant treasure, he says, that\u2019s \u201calone worth the cost of living in the city.\u201d His workdays are spent at the Bahnsen Group\u2019s well-appointed offices on Sixth Avenue, steps from the Museum of Modern Art.
