The White House will begin releasing the long-awaited UFO files<\/a> on Friday \u2013 months after President Trump ordered top administration officials to get the ball rolling on the out-of-this-world intel,<\/a> The Post has learned.<\/p>\n

The timeframe was disclosed during a West Wing meeting on Thursday attended by Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), a member of the House Oversight Committee\u2019s task force on the declassification of federal secrets.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to start tomorrow. It\u2019s going to have some stuff in there from pilots, and maybe one video,\u201d Burchett told independent journalist Jeremy Corbell in a conversation shared with The Post.<\/p>\n

\u201cPilot materials\u201d could refer to encounters that American military pilots had with UFOs while on active duty, according to sources.<\/p>\n

The first release will not include the 46 UFO videos that Congress has demanded the Department of War release to the public.<\/p>\n

Successive releases will come out in weekly tranches \u2014 markedly distinct from the data-dump method of the JFK and Epstein files.<\/p>\n

Burchett noted that some in Congress are still resisting the release \u2014 but he\u2019s confident Trump\u2019s promise to release the files will be kept.<\/p>\n

\u201cI totally support and am grateful to President Trump for keeping his word and being the president of transparency and disclosure,\u201d Burchett said in a statement to The Post.<\/p>\n
