The work recently received <a href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/article\/beau-mexodus-lead-2026-drama-desk-award-nominations-read-the-full-list-here\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">10 Drama Desk nominations<\/a> for its June 2025 staging, including Outstanding Musical.<\/p>\n<p>Conceived and written by <a data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/person\/douglas-lyons-vault-0000117543\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Douglas Lyons<\/a> (Chicken and Biscuits), with music by Ethan D.\u00a0Pakchar (Back to the Future: The Musical) and Lyons, Beau the Musical features eight actor-musicians telling the story of Ace Baker, a young gay man whose life is forever changed when he discovers his deceased grandfather is actually still alive.<\/p>\n<p>The concert reprise will feature live performances of songs from the musical\u00a0by\u00a0Matt Rodin, Miyuki Miyagi, <a data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/person\/max-sangerman\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Max Sangerman<\/a>, Ryan Halsaver, <a data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/person\/andrea-goss-vault-0000035184\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Andrea Goss<\/a>, Derek J. Stoltenberg, Lauren Jeanne Thomas, Tyler Donovan McCall, <a data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/person\/rose-van-dyne-performer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rose Van Dyne<\/a> and Luke Darnel.<\/p>\n<p>In its initial Off-Broadway staging last summer, Beau the Musical\u00a0starred Matt Rodin (Company, All the World\u2019s a Stage) as Ace, with Chris Blisset (Bloodsong of Love) as Beau, <a data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/person\/amelia-cormack-performer\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Amelia Cormack<\/a> (Hadestown) as Raven, Andrea Goss (Cabaret) as Nurse\/Karina\/Le-Ann, <a data-crosslink=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/playbill.com\/person\/cory-jeacoma\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cory Jeacoma<\/a> (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) as Ferris, Miyuki Miyagi (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) as Daphney, Derek J. Stoltenberg (The Prom) as Dennis, and Matt Wolpe (Finding Neverland) as Larry.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Beau\u00a0then enjoyed an encore run at St. Luke&#8217;s Theatre last fall, with a cast also led by Rodin.<\/p>\n<p>Following a presentation at the 2019 Adirondack Theatre Festival, Sony Masterworks Broadway released the show\u2019s <a data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thepressroomnyc.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=9d9841f5bb431156e9c97a4f4&amp;id=f2c48f3503&amp;e=72bcb4ccd7\" title=\"https:\/\/thepressroomnyc.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=9d9841f5bb431156e9c97a4f4&amp;id=f2c48f3503&amp;e=72bcb4ccd7\" data-linkindex=\"1\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(45, 94, 255)\">world premiere recording<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for both in-person attendance and streaming online will be available for the Green Room 42 concert, with prices starting at $19.
