PHOENIX \u2014 The Picacho Peak Dairy Queen is closing its doors after 40 years of service.\u00a0<\/p>\n
RELATED: Roof fire closes popular Phoenix bagel shop<\/a><\/p>\n Bowlin Travel Centers announced in a press release that the store will close May 31, 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n The ice cream shop was located off Interstate 10 in Picacho, conveniently on the drive between Tucson and Phoenix.\u00a0<\/p>\n The company said the decision was made after they were unable to come to terms with the Arizona State Land Department.\u00a0<\/p>\n “We encourage our loyal patrons to come in and share their favorite memories during our final days of operation,” the company said.\u00a0<\/p>\n Bowlin Travel Centers also said that a new food option would open soon in the plaza where the Dairy Queen was located.
