Crews were able to bring the blaze under control within two hours.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Fire officials say the two victims were discovered inside the home during firefighting operations. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The house suffered extensive damage, leading to a partial collapse of the structure.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Officials say the property was vacant and had been boarded up from a previous fire. <\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The Village of Hempstead Building Department responded to assess the damage and secure the site.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The cause of the fire remains under investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Two people were found dead following an early-morning house fire in Hempstead.
