The installation uses fugitive dyes that gradually change over time, turning the artwork itself into a visual record of impermanence and transformation.

Meanwhile, the exhibition “Small-Scale” highlights intimate works from the museum’s permanent collection, challenging the notion that artistic importance must come in monumental form.

The museum’s reinstalled permanent works also include recognizable pieces by artists such as David Hammons, Glenn Ligon, and Houston E. Conwill.

Latest Posts:

Become a Harlem Insider!

From history to today’s headlines—everything Harlem, in your inbox.

By signing up, you’re agreeing to receive communications from Harlem World Magazine and our Privay Policy.

By HWM The Studio Museum in Harlem is continuing its spring programming with a series of events and…

[38
128,9,24,63,25717,129,131,130
post-226419","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-the-bronx","tag-bronx","tag-new-york","tag-new-york-city","tag-nyc","tag-studio-museum-in-harlem","tag-the-bronx","tag-the-bronx-headlines","tag-the-bronx-news
["GET
