BENSONHURST, Brooklyn (PIX11) \u2014 A Brooklyn man is accused of raping and choking his 59-year-old neighbor after breaking into her bedroom over the weekend, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Jakhongir Sattorov, 38, allegedly attacked the woman in her home near Fifteenth Avenue and 71st\u00a0Street in Bensonhurst at around 8:30 p.m. Friday, according to the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
\u00a0More Local News\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n Sattorov allegedly broke the lock on the woman\u2019s bedroom door before asking her to have sex, according to the NYPD and court records.<\/p>\n When she refused, the suspect allegedly punched the woman several times and choked her until she became lightheaded, authorities said.<\/p>\n Sattorov then allegedly raped his neighbor multiple times, prosecutors said, The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n The suspect was arrested Saturday and charged with rape, assault, strangulation, sexual misconduct, and criminal mischief, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n Sattorov pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on Sunday, and is being held without bail, according to court records.<\/p>\n His lawyer could not be reached immediately on Monday.<\/p>\n Mira Wassef is an award-winning reporter who has covered news and sports in the NYC area for more than a decade.
