A Queens woman working as a home health aide on Long Island stabbed her 84-year-old patient<\/a> while she was sleeping, police said Thursday.<\/p>\n

Amber Fraser<\/a>, a 23-year-old South Richmond Hill resident, was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder, Nassau County police said in an alert.<\/p>\n

Wendy Wilson<\/a>, an 84-year-old Massapequa resident, was injured in the attack overnight Tuesday, her family told WABC. Cops did not identify the victim.<\/p>\n

After stabbing Wilson, Fraser then got into her vehicle and attempted to ram it into the home<\/a>, which lies 20 miles east of Wilson\u2019s residence in Queens, the family told WABC. The car was still in the yard on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

Wilson is expected to survive the attack, according to her family. Cops said she sustained a puncture wound to her chest<\/a> and was in stable condition on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Nassau County police<\/a> said Fraser would be arraigned when \u201cmedically practical,\u201d implying she was also injured at some point between Tuesday and Thursday.<\/p>\n

Wilson\u2019s son, Kery Kilgannon, told WABC the family\u2019s surveillance cameras captured the attack on video. He said the video showed Wilson\u2019s caregiver climbing into bed with her, attacking her and then leaving the home.<\/p>\n

Wilson wasn\u2019t located until Wednesday morning, when her daytime aide found her bleeding from a stab wound<\/a> and called 911, cops said.
