It was a place where making it to 21 was something people celebrated.

I lost my mom when I was 15, and that moment changed everything for me. It gave me a level of perspective and resilience early in life that most people do not develop until much later. It forced me to mature quickly and approach life with a different level of discipline and gratitude. I don’t panic under pressure because I have already experienced real adversity.

Growing up in South Jamaica taught me how to adapt, stay focused under pressure and keep pushing, even when circumstances are difficult. At the same time, it gave me ambition because I was surrounded by people with big personalities, strong energy and a real hunger to succeed.

QNS: With a successful career that spans entertainment, sports and business — along with a proven track record for running successful campaigns across different platforms, as well as partnering with brands, like Target, Banana Republic and Puma – what is your main focus now?

BF: I run Ffrench Ventures, which is based out of New York and Los Angeles, where I focus on building, investing in and marketing high-potential brands across wellness, tech, real estate and consumer products. I’ve recently worked with companies like Prime Video, Alo and Manscaped, helping them connect with audiences through storytelling, while also positioning myself as a long-term partner and investor.

I started my company while working under my uncle and mentor Mike Repole — the founder of Vitamin Water and BODYARMOR Sports Drink — who also had a major influence on me through what he had accomplished.

FFrench was an early investor and shareholder in BODYARMOR, and later on, his contributions to their marketing team were instrumental in the company’s unprecedented sale to Coca-Cola in November 2021 for $5.6 billion. He built connections with some of the world’s most influential athletes through his work with the brand.

Influencer marketing has impacted and transformed our culture in many ways. How do you use your platform to influence brands and drive business growth while helping companies connect through storytelling?

I help brands connect by making things feel real and culturally relevant. People today can tell when something is forced. I focus on authentic storytelling through lifestyle, wellness, travel, business and everyday experiences that naturally integrate the brand into my world, instead of making it feel like a commercial.

My goal is to continue bridging the gap between being a creator and being an investor. I want to show that creators can be more than influencers; we can be owners, investors, strategists and long-term business partners. I’m focused on building companies, investing in meaningful brands and creating lasting value beyond social media.

QNS: How do you bridge that gap?

BF: I bridge that gap by using my platform to help brands grow, while also understanding the business side behind the scenes. I’m involved in strategy, partnerships, marketing, storytelling and long-term brand positioning, not just posting content. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes that people don’t see, from negotiations to brand development. Gotti is credited with having helped discover or sign rappers Jay-Z, DMX, Vita and Ja Rule, as well as singers Ashanti and Lloyd.

Watching both uncles build iconic brands from the ground up, showed me what was possible through vision, consistency and execution. And being around that environment gave me firsthand exposure to creativity, branding, marketing, storytelling and cultural influence at a young age. It showed me how powerful media and culture can be when they truly connect with people.

QNS: Growing up, you played a lot of basketball and baseball. Tell readers about your high school experience and winning city and state championships.

BF: Holy Cross was one of the best experiences of my life. It gave me a strong education, structure, discipline and really helped shape me into the person I am today.

At first, it was definitely an adjustment going to a (formerly) all-boys school, but once I embraced it and focused on basketball, academics and personal growth, it became one of the most important chapters of my life.

I built friendships there that I still have to this day, and I was surrounded by great coaches, mentors and teachers, who pushed me to become more disciplined and focused. The principal is still someone I look at like a father figure today.

My uncle Mike Repole also went to Holy Cross, so there was pride in continuing that legacy. We won both a city and state championship while I was there, and Holy Cross also helped open the door for me to earn an athletic scholarship to the University of Texas at El Paso, before transferring to Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, where I played NCAA Division I basketball and later earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Management.

Put it this way, when I have a son one day, he’ll definitely be going to Holy Cross.

QNS: How did you first gain a following and what was your inspiration?

BF: I first gained my following while working with BODYARMOR. I positioned myself as a face of the brand, and that really resonated with people in Queens, then New York City and eventually nationwide.

From there, I kept building by staying consistent and expanding into lifestyle, business, and wellness content.

I lost my mom when I was 15, and that moment changed everything for me. It gave me a level of perspective and resilience early in life that most people do not develop until much later. From that point on, I approached life differently.

At the same time, I was surrounded by inspiration: My uncle Irv Gotti built Murder Inc. into a major record label, and my uncle Mike Repole built his companies. Seeing that level of execution showed me what was possible at a high level.

QNS: How would you describe your point of view?

BF: My point of view is very dimensional. I like to look at things from multiple angles before making decisions. Even when I’m working with global brands or traveling, my perspective is rooted in Queens.

To me, Queens represents ambition, hustle, resilience and believing that where you come from does not define your ceiling. That mindset stays with me no matter where life takes me.

QNS: Why are you passionate about what you do?

BF: I’m passionate because I get to change lives, whether it’s through wellness products or educating people on better practices.

Coming from where I come from, a lot of people only saw music or sports as the path. I’m proud to have built something different that can last long-term.

I also strongly believe in being a good person. That has helped me build real relationships and stand out in a meaningful way.

Even though I grew up in a tough environment, without a lot of money, I come from a lot of love, a lot of hope and a lot of motivation. I have always believed in working with what I have. I do not need much to get started; I can take lemons and turn them into lemonade. I have seen people make it with less, so I have never used my circumstances as an excuse.

My mom taught me about entrepreneurship, but more importantly, she taught me how to treat people. Growing up in New York, sometimes people carry an edge, and I made a decision early on to move differently. Where a lot of people chose to be tough or closed off, I chose to be kind, disciplined and intentional. That combination, coming from a real environment but choosing a different mindset, is what shaped who I am today.

QNS: Where do you think social media is headed?

BF: Social media is moving toward authenticity, ownership and value. Creators are becoming business operators and investors, not just promoters. That’s where I see myself having an advantage.

QNS: How has AI changed your approach to social media?

BF: AI has made content creation more efficient and opened up new creative possibilities. But the real advantage comes from experience and perspective. Anyone can use tools, but not everyone has lived the story.

Before crafting his multi-layered career across investing, business and content, Ffrench embraced acting. A lot of my business relationships and opportunities actually started organically through genuine friendships and shared interests.

QNS: Final message to readers?

BF: Everything I do comes back to doing good in the world. No matter where I go, I want to leave an impact, help people and represent where I come from, the right way.

I’m from South Jamaica, and I still have my apartment in Baisley that my grandmother gave me. That connection means everything to me!

Queens is forever, and I wouldn’t want to be from anywhere else.

My audience continues to grow because the content reflects my real life, not just curated moments online. A lot of my content is rooted in mindset, discipline, growth, wellness, entrepreneurship and leveling up your life. Even when I’m traveling or working with global brands, my perspective is still shaped by Queens culture, New York energy and the experiences that raised me.

[37
89878,9,24,63,122,124,123
post-228767","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-queens","tag-blaise-ffrench","tag-new-york","tag-new-york-city","tag-nyc","tag-queens","tag-queens-headlines","tag-queens-news
["GET
