By the time fans began speculating that David Harbour\u2019s Nolita apartment<\/a> was the subject of a song on his ex-wife Lily Allen\u2019s album West End Girl, the Stranger Things star had already offloaded it. Harbour sold the one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom loft for $2.7 million in an off-market deal in August 2025, according to a new report<\/a> from the New York Post\u2014just two months before the release of Allen\u2019s album, which detailed the pair\u2019s tumultuous split earlier that year.<\/p>\n

The outlet claims that Harbour rushed to sell the loft before the song was released, with a source saying he allegedly \u201clost money\u201d after factoring in what he spent on renovations.<\/p>\n

Harbour initially snagged the co-op for $2 million in September 2017, and opened the home to AD for a tour in 2019. The actor said that he searched for a \u201cvery New York\u201d residence in the city for three years before landing on the Nolita dwelling. He enlisted Kyle O\u2019Donnell of Gramercy Design\u2014who also worked with Stranger Things creator Matt Duffer<\/a>\u2014to transform the 1,400-square-foot former wagon wheel factory into a modern-day condo. \u201cIt didn\u2019t look like much,\u201d Harbour said of the space<\/a> before the transformation. \u201cThe floors were uneven, there was crappy drywall\u2026It was just a crazy space that clearly hadn’t been touched since the \u201970s.\u201d<\/p>\n

After 10 months of renovations, the apartment\u2019s new layout consists of a spacious living room and an open office area. Harbour\u2019s loft was gutted to reveal architectural details from the factory, including metal bolts once used to hang tools for building wagon wheels. Two bathrooms were combined into one, five closets were added, and a tin ceiling was installed with antique panels from a decommissioned factory in Pennsylvania, ensuring that the place maintained plenty of vintage charm. Other upgrades include a wall installation with a hidden door at the entryway and a complete kitchen redesign.<\/p>\n

While Harbour was bidding farewell to his downtown pad, the estranged couple also listed their shared Brooklyn townhouse<\/a> in October 2025.
