CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A BMW crashed into a tree in a deadly overnight wreck Sunday in south Charlotte, police said on Tuesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The deadly single-car crash happened around 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, along Queens Road West near Freedom Park.<\/p>\n

Police said<\/a> a BMW M3 ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree, killing a passenger identified as 22-year-old Keegan McKeeney. He graduated from Queens University<\/a> hours before the crash.<\/p>\n

All other occupants were extricated by firefighters and rushed to local hospitals. Police have not said how many people were in the car, and their conditions were not immediately known.<\/p>\n

Investigators have not said what caused the crash and are working to determine whether speed or impairment was a factor.<\/p>\n
