MELROSE, The Bronx (PIX11) \u2014 Police are searching for a man sought in connection with an attempted rape of a 36-year-old woman in the Bronx, authorities said.<\/p>\n

At around 4 a.m. on Saturday, the victim was inside an apartment located near East 151 Street and Melrose Avenue when the suspect pulled her into an elevator, according to police.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The suspect allegedly pulled the victim\u2019s pants down and tried to rape her, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n

After the sexual assault, the person fled to an unknown location, according to police<\/p>\n

The victim was sent to a local hospital, listed in stable condition, according to NYPD.<\/p>\n
