{"id":232926,"date":"2026-05-15T18:05:43","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T18:05:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/232926\/"},"modified":"2026-05-15T18:05:43","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T18:05:43","slug":"raising-canes-opens-fifth-queens-location-in-laurelton-launches-its-first-drive-thru-in-the-borough-qns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/232926\/","title":{"rendered":"Raising Cane\u2019s opens fifth Queens location in Laurelton, launches its first drive-thru in the borough \u2013 QNS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Popular fast food chicken joint <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raisingcanes.com\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Raising Cane\u2019s<\/a> opened its first drive-thru location in Queens Wednesday morning, welcoming huge crowds for the grand opening of its new Laurelton location.<\/p>\n<p>The new location, located at 230-13 Merrick Blvd., stands as the fifth Raising Cane\u2019s store in Queens after other locations opened in Flushing, Jackson Heights, Jamaica and Forest Hills.\n<\/p>\n<p>The new store also stands as the closest Raising Cane\u2019s to Long Island, located just minutes from Nassau County.\n<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of people gathered in Laurelton for the opening of the new location, which opened its doors for the first time at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13.\n<\/p>\n<p>The grand opening celebration featured a \u201clucky 20\u201d draw, awarding free Raising Cane\u2019s for a year to 20 guests aged 13 and over.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-610364\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Raising-Canes-.jpg\" alt=\"Crowds gathered at the new Laurelton restaurant. Photo via Raising Cane\u2019s\n<\/p>\n<p>Raising Cane\u2019s also presented checks to local organizations Federated Blocks of Laurelton and 100 Suits during Wednesday\u2019s grand opening.<\/p>\n<p>The celebration also featured a live DJ, with free giveaways for the first 100 customers who purchased a signature box combo, which includes chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast and the popular Raising Cane\u2019s sauce.<\/p>\n<p>Raising Cane\u2019s is one of the fastest-growing fast food chains in the US, ballooning from about 500 stores in 2020 to more than 1,000 stores today. The chain reported $5.1 billion in sales in 2024, more than double its total sales in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The company also aims to open more than 100 stores across the US in 2026.\n<\/p>\n<p>Kameron Robinson, the company\u2019s area leader of restaurants, said the new Laurelton location offers Raising Cane\u2019s an opportunity to better serve the Queens community, noting that the location boasts a drive-thru and outdoor patio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are so excited to open our fifth Restaurant in Queens and introduce our first Drive-Thru in the borough,\u201d Robinson said in a statement. \u201cThis Restaurant allows us to better serve the Community, whether Customers choose to dine on the patio or swing by during their commute.
