On this episode of “Up Close,” we’ll discuss the hantavirus outbreak on a cruise ship and the all-out effort to contain the virus as passengers return to their home countries.

There are at least 10 confirmed cases and 18 passengers were flown back to the U.S. where they are now under quarantine. Those suspected of being infected are in isolation.

But first, we’ll talk about a new era in city government — one that can balance ambition and responsibility.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani said the city’s fiscal crisis is over after unveiling a budget of more than $124 billion.

We’ll talk to New York City’s first Deputy Mayor Dean Fuleihan.

Up Close with Bill Ritter and Liz Cho airs Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. on Channel 7, WABC-TV in New York City.SUBSCRIBE TO THE UP CLOSE PODCAST
