A 34-year-old man has died in the Fordham Manor section of the Bronx in an early morning stabbing, police said. A second 32-year-old male who reportedly tried to intervene to help the first man, according to a family member, was also stabbed and is currently stable in hospital.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Police said the department received a 911 call on Tuesday morning, May 19, at around 00.24 a.m.<\/p>\n

They said officers responded to a report of an assault in front of 2466 Marion Avenue, within the confines of the 46th Precinct.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cUpon arrival, officers observed a 34-year-old male with multiple stab wounds to the torso and right arm and a 32-year-old male with multiple stab wounds to the back,\u201d an NYPD spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cEMS responded and transported the 34-year-old male victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased,\u201d the spokesperson added.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Police said the 32-year-old male victim was transported by EMS to BronxCare Health System in stable condition. They said there are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n They said the deceased has been identified as Luis Almanzar of Marion Avenue, Bronx.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n A woman who said she is an aunt to the surviving stab victim was at the crime scene later on Tuesday morning. We asked her what she knew of what happened.<\/p>\n She said, \u201cI heard that he was in front of the house, He seen someone from the area. He was getting beat up so he was trying to tell him to \u2018come on,\u2019 and they said that him trying to stop them, they stabbed him too.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Asked if she wanted to describe her nephew, the woman said, \u201cHe\u2019s a good kid. He comes from a good family. They own a home in the area. You know, he as born and raised here so, you know, it\u2019s sad. It\u2019s sad.\u201d<\/p>\n She added that her nephew was stable and that his mom was going to go back again to the hospital and check on him. Asked if it was the first time a stabbing or similar incident had happened on the block to her knowledge, she said, \u201cYeah, this area I guess last year there was a couple of shootings.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Gesturing towards East 188th Street, she said, \u201cA man died in front of the store. A young lady got shot by the park, you know and it was innocent bystanders.\u201d<\/p>\n Of the many emergencies happening in the area, the woman continued, \u201cToday\u2019s my day off. I\u2019m always working but I was telling my mother whatever you do, please pay attention to the fires, as there\u2019s a lot of fires lately. I know a lot of Hispanics, we light up candles, but you know, I don\u2019t mind it but you have to be on point.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n We mentioned that many people of all backgrounds light candles. \u201cYeah, you have to pay attention though,\u201d she added. \u201cBut this is unfortunate. It really is.\u201d<\/p>\n Blood stains were seen on the steps of the house as police cordoned off the crime scene and canvassed the area for information. The home is located diagonally across from a church and not far from a local school.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Neighbors in the area and teachers at the school called for more police presence in the area. Meanwhile, another man was hospitalized<\/a> following a separate shooting, reportedly at close range, on Friday night, May 15, at East 198th Street between Bainbridge Avenue and Briggs Avenue in Bedford Park.
