BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) \u2014 A prisoner escaped from police custody near a Brooklyn courthouse on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The 21-year-old man ran off while officers were escorting him from the vehicle into Brooklyn Criminal Court at 120 Schermerhorn St. at around 1:15 p.m., according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n
More Local News <\/a><\/p>\n The suspect was being transported from the 73rd Precinct, but it was unclear what he had been arrested for, police said.<\/p>\n Police could not say if the man was handcuffed when he escaped.
