(PIX11) \u2014 A teen was shot in broad daylight in the Springfield Gardens section of Queens on Wednesday, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police said an 18-year-old boy was shot in the left leg in front of a Queens home at 177-05 145th Dr. just after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/pix11.com\/news\/local-news\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:More Local News;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;More Local News&quot;}\"> More Local News <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">He was taken to the hospital to be treated and police said he is expected to be okay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Sources told PIX11 News that a suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, white sneakers and fled on a scooter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police are canvassing the area and no arrests have been made.
