(WIBW) &#8211; A man was arrested Wednesday night in connection with an incident that occurred over the weekend in Riley County, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The arrested man was identified as Anthony John Lyons, 50, of Leonardville.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Authorities said that Riley County police officers filed a report of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer around 9:57 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, in Leonardville. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Riley County police arrested a man on Wednesday night in Manhattan in connection with...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/USU6LMJSURIUJHWNFMYQOE27AE.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"550\" \/>Riley County police arrested a man on Wednesday night in Manhattan in connection with aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and fleeing and eluding following an incident that was reported this past weekend in Leonardville.(WIBW)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A 54-year-old man and 43-year-old man were listed as the victims in the case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lyons was arrested around 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road in Manhattan in connection with two counts of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and one count of fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lyons was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remained Thursday morning in the Riley County Jail in Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WIBW.
