Further details have been revealed for the Broadway transfer of Jamie Lloyd<\/a>\u2019s new production of\u00a0Tim Rice<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Andrew Lloyd Webber<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0Evita,\u00a0starring Olivier Award and Golden Globe Award winner\u00a0Rachel Zegler<\/a>\u00a0as “Eva Per\u00f3n.” The production will play Broadway\u2019s Winter Garden Theatre (1634 Broadway) with preview performances beginning Saturday evening, February 27, 2027 for a Thursday, March 25, 2027 opening night.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Rachel Zegler<\/a> will not play \u2018Eva Per\u00f3n\u2019 at certain performances during the run. For more information, check the full performance schedule at\u00a0evitathemusical.com<\/a>. Additional casting, including an \u2018Eva\u00a0Per\u00f3n\u2019 alternate, and creative team members will be announced shortly.<\/p>\n

Evita\u00a0played a sold-out engagement at the London Palladium last summer.\u00a0Evita\u00a0recently received two Olivier Awards including Best Actress in a Musical for Zegler. The production\u00a0was also awarded Best Musical and Best Musical Performance for Zegler at the London Standard Theatre Awards, along with receiving five WhatsOnStage Awards including Best Musical Revival and Best Performer in a Musical for Zegler.<\/p>\n

Evita\u00a0will play the Winter Garden immediately following Lloyd\u2019s critically acclaimed production of\u00a0William Shakespeare<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0Much Ado About Nothing\u00a0which will play a strictly limited 10-week engagement at the same legendary venue this fall.<\/p>\n

Evita\u00a0on Broadway will be produced by\u00a0Jamie Lloyd<\/a>\u00a0for The <\/a>Jamie Lloyd<\/a> Company and\u00a0Michael Harrison<\/a>\u00a0for Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals by arrangement with LW Entertainment.\u00a0101 Productions, Ltd<\/a>.\u00a0will serve as general managers for the production.<\/p>\n
