{"id":246192,"date":"2026-05-28T10:57:39","date_gmt":"2026-05-28T10:57:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/246192\/"},"modified":"2026-05-28T10:57:39","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T10:57:39","slug":"ajc-selling-its-longtime-manhattan-headquarters-for-39-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/246192\/","title":{"rendered":"AJC selling its longtime Manhattan headquarters for $39 million"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The American Jewish Committee is selling its longtime Manhattan headquarters to real estate developer Gary Barnett\u2019s Extell Development for $39 million, the industry publication The Real Deal reported on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sale appears to be linked to a larger development project two blocks away on Park Ave, though it is not immediately clear how.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AJC did not immediately respond to requests for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AJC has owned the 165 East 56th St. property since 1959.
