{"id":246675,"date":"2026-05-28T18:16:09","date_gmt":"2026-05-28T18:16:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/246675\/"},"modified":"2026-05-28T18:16:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T18:16:09","slug":"moshe-lions-real-estate-event-expected-to-be-protested-against-in-manhattan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/246675\/","title":{"rendered":"Moshe Lion&#8217;s real estate event expected to be protested against in Manhattan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Jerusalem municipality real estate investment event in Manhattan, led by Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion, is set to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/antisemitism\/article-895736\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">protested by anti-Israel activists<\/a>, marking it as the latest Israeli real estate event in New York City to draw ire from activist groups.<\/p>\n<p>Palestinian Assembly for Liberation Al-Awda in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/article-897551\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">New York City<\/a> and New Jersey (PAL-Awda NY\/NJ) announced on Wednesday that they are set to protest outside a Manhattan hotel, where the municipality, the Israeli Building Center, and the Jerusalem Development Authority are hosting their \u201cJerusalem. Your Home. Your Future\u201d event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The anti-Israel group, which frequently organized protests against Israeli real estate events, asserted that the exposition exclusively focused on the Israeli capital was selling \u201cillegal real estate\u201d and recruiting \u201csettlers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">\u201cAll-out to protest Jerusalem real estate expo of stolen Palestinian land and settler fair,\u201d PAL-Awda wrote on Instagram. \u201cWe will not be silent as land theft occurs inside our neighborhoods.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">The expo was expected to attract about 1,000 participants, with organizers emphasizing Jerusalem\u2019s importance to the Jewish people. Developers are reportedly scheduled to present projects at pre-sale prices, as well as housing units currently under construction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">As a security measure, the event location was revealed only two days before, but PAL-Awda has been able to rally its supporters regardless.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">On May 11, the anti-Israel organization held a demonstration against the Great Israeli Real Estate exposition at Young Israel of Midwood.
