This month brought a variety of new openings to Brooklyn, including a new playground in Dyker Heights, a fitness studio in Carroll Gardens, a children\u2019s toy and shoe shop in Greenpoint, a new greenway section in Sunset Park & Red Hook, a co-working space in Brooklyn Heights, a gym in Park Slope, and much more. For next month, families can look forward to early summer openings of a bouldering gym in DUMBO, a trampoline park in East New York, and a pickleball gym in Greenpoint.<\/p>\n

McKinley Park Playground<\/a> | Dyker Heights | NOW OPEN<\/p>\n

While this project is not totally complete and the water area will not turned on for a few months, the playground at McKinley Park is complete and open for play! Children of all ages will enjoy this beautiful new playground with plenty of slides, swings, activity panels, and challenging climbers! This playground is located on Bay Ridge Parkway and is easiest to enter at the corner of 7th Avenue.<\/p>\n

Mad Records NYC<\/a> | Williamsburg | NOW OPEN<\/p>\n

Located at 395 Wythe Avenue, Mad Records NYC is not a club, not a studio, not a gallery \u2013 but the in-between. A place where music isn\u2019t played, it\u2019s built; where ideas don\u2019t wait, they happen; where strangers turn into collaborators. They are a living frequency. The Goods Mart<\/a> | South Williamsburg | NOW OPEN<\/p>\n

The Goods Mart, a convenience store focused on healthier snacks and pantry staples, is now open at Williamsburg Wharf, the new mixed-use waterfront development at 470 Kent Avenue. This female-owned business offers over 450 snacks, drinks, and pantry items from 250+ brands. Be sure to grab a cup of $2 drip coffee!<\/p>\n

The Sunset Park Greenway<\/a> | Red Hook & Sunset Park | NOW OPEN<\/p>\n

Come out to enjoy the newly-opened greenway section from Hamilton Avenue in Red Hook to 29th Street in Sunset Park. For over 14 years, the community has advocated for safe greenway infrastructure along this corridor. Spring and summer is the perfect time to make use of this exciting new amenity!<\/p>\n

Williamsburg Soccer Club<\/a> | Greenpoint | NOW OPEN<\/p>\n

Williamsburg Soccer Club has been part of the community since 2017, but just recently opened its permanent space at 33 Nassau Street in Greenpoint. They offer classes, clinics, privates sessions, birthday parties, summer camp, and more!<\/p>\n

Visit to shop premium, ethically-made, developmentally-centered, and design-forward goods for children ages 0-5. Giggles & Wiggles is open Tuesday-Sunday, 10:00am-6:00pm. The co-working company The Malin has opened its newest location at 57 Court Street in Brooklyn Heights. The 15,000 square foot space is located on the second floor above SoulCycle, Sephora, and Hot 8 Yoga. This is The Malin\u2019s 7th location in New York City and its 2nd location in Brooklyn, with an outpost already established in Williamsburg.<\/p>\n

Another 27,0000-square-foot location of Lidl is slated to open soon on the ground floor of 597 Grand Street in Williamsburg. The new store will occupy a mixed-use retail and residential building between Leonard and Lorimer Streets, which was the former site of a Key Foods. Similar to Trader Joe\u2019s and Aldi, Lidl offers a broad assortment of products, including its 49-cent butter croissants, private-label Butcher\u2019s Specialty meats, and Bon Gelati mini ice cream bars. Shoppers can also find gourmet favorites like frozen tiramisu, aged Parmigiano Reggiano, and authentic prosciutto.<\/p>\n

Arizona College of Nursing<\/a> | Downtown Brooklyn | Opening date TBA<\/p>\n

Arizona College of Nursing<\/a> is opening its first New York campus after signing a 10-year lease for 40,000 square feet at 532 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn. The Glendale, Arizona\u2013based school will occupy the sixth through eighth floors of the Paxton, a 43-story mixed-use tower near Borough Hall and MetroTech.<\/p>\n

Erudite Preschool<\/a> | Boerum Hill | Opening date TBA<\/p>\n

Erudite Preschool is a Russian immersion daycare and preschool for children ages 6 months to 5 years. They have signed a lease at 526 Baltic Street which is the Baltic Canal building.<\/p>\n

Prospect Park Vale<\/a> | Prospect Park | Reopening 2027<\/p>\n

The Prospect Park Vale restoration began this month and expects to conclude in 2027. This $37.5 million, 8-acre project is the single largest capital allocation to Prospect Park since Lakeside back in 2010-2013. A new children\u2019s nature exploration area is part of the design!<\/p>\n
