The New York Jets<\/a> have signed former New York Giants<\/a> placekicker Younghoe Koo, remembered during his Giants tenure for botched kick on a 47-yard field goal attempt last season in a Week 14 game against the New England Patriots<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The botch, with Koo driving his foot into the turf about a foot behind the ball, resulted in a 13-yard loss and an injury to punter\/holder Jamie Gillan<\/a> during a 33-15 loss on Monday Night Football. Koo kicked in just one more game for the Giants before being replaced by Ben Sauls<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Koo was not charged with a missed field goal attempt on the play. He went 4 of 6 on field goals and 11 of 12 on extra points in five games for New York.<\/p>\n

Koo spent seven seasons ith the Atlanta Falcons before joining the Giants, and is 185 of 217 on field goal tries (85.3%) in his career.<\/p>\n

The Giants used Koo, Graham Gano<\/a>. Jude McAtamney<\/a>, and Sauls as placekickers in 2025.<\/p>\n
