Mounted directly to the gallery wall, the work captures Feuerman’s meticulous attention to realism and process. Another centerpiece portrays the artist applying the finishing touches to a suspended swimmer clutching an inflatable float, a signature motif that has become synonymous with her work.

“I am very excited to welcome Carole back to the Gallery,” said Faustino Quintanilla, executive director of the QCC Art Gallery. “She first exhibited with us more than twenty years ago and in the years since I have had the pleasure of seeing her fantastic drawings evolve into super realist sculpture that has a language all its own.”

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-611767" src="https://www.newsbeep.com/us-ny/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/DSC_0915.jpg" alt="Carole A. The works reveal the foundations of an artist who would later become internationally celebrated for lifelike sculpture.

Speaking during the opening reception, Feuerman reflected on the artistic journey documented throughout the exhibition.

“Here you can see some of my drawings and also my sculptures, because when I started in the ’60s and graduated art school, I was doing drawings and paintings, but I started making them very three dimensional, and then they became somewhat sculptural,” Feuerman said. “You can see that in my self-portrait, where it’s a painting, and then I added three-dimensional legs. I never really thought I’d be a sculptor.”

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-611768" src="https://www.newsbeep.com/us-ny/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/DSC_0936.jpg" alt="Carole A. And perhaps just as importantly, keep at it. When you create art, it enriches all of you physically and mentally.
