{"id":248727,"date":"2026-05-30T12:21:43","date_gmt":"2026-05-30T12:21:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/248727\/"},"modified":"2026-05-30T12:21:43","modified_gmt":"2026-05-30T12:21:43","slug":"new-plan-for-the-aggieville-parking-garage-in-manhattan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/248727\/","title":{"rendered":"New plan for the Aggieville Parking Garage in Manhattan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Beginning Monday ( June 1 ) there will be 24-hour a day free parking in the Aggieville Parking Garage.\u00a0 The City of Manhattan will temporarily suspend hourly parking rates for the facility.\u00a0 City staff expects the suspension of registration and daily parking rates to be temporary while Moro Street construction is underway,<\/p>\n<p>Aggieville Business Association President Dennis Cook noted that there has been restriping of the parking stalls the last two weeks. Initially the stalls had been done at a 90 degree angle, which made it difficult for pickups. They were not allowed to back into stalls due to monitoring done with\u00a0 license plate readers.<\/p>\n<p>Now all the exterior side stalls are going to be angle parking facing down, while interior stalls will be at a 90-ddegree angle but about one foot wider.
