{"id":249662,"date":"2026-05-31T15:40:07","date_gmt":"2026-05-31T15:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/249662\/"},"modified":"2026-05-31T15:40:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-31T15:40:07","slug":"news-12-bronx-nypd-drone-helps-officers-track-suspects-recover-two-loaded-guns-in-belmont","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/249662\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Bronx | Nypd Drone Helps Officers Track Suspects Recover Two Loaded Guns In Belmont"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Newly released NYPD body camera and drone footage shows officers pursuing and arresting two minors after reports of gunfire in Belmont.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">According to police, the incident occurred around 11 p.m. on May 21 near 2130 Washington Ave. Officers responded to reports of shots fired and deployed a drone to assist in the search for suspects.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The drone allowed operators to maintain sight of the two people from above while directing officers on the ground to their location, police said.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The operation led to the recovery of two loaded firearms, including one that was found inside a park.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">A 13-year-old boy and a 17-year-old male were arrested in connection with the incident.
