During the month of June, the Staten Island Children\u2019s Museum will offer a special admissions programs, including a Free Day in honor of Juneteenth on Saturday, June 20, a performance by\u00a0Divinity Roxx, a Grammy-nominated performer, and two school break day camps and their annual end of school year bounce house.<\/p>\n

Free Admission Programs\u00a0The\u00a0Children\u2019s Museum is a participant in the Bank of America\u00a0Museums on Us\u00a0Program.\u00a0On\u00a0Saturday, June 6\u00a0and\u00a0Sunday June 7, 2026,\u00a0Bank of America cardholders receive one free general admission by presenting a valid debit or credit card and a government issued photo ID.<\/p>\n

In celebration of Juneteenth, the museum will offer free admission to all with on-line pre-registration on\u00a0Saturday, June 20\u00a0sponsored by Amazon.<\/p>\n

In honor of Father\u2019s Day, each paid child admission will receive one free adult admission on\u00a0Sunday, June 21\u00a0\u2013 free tickets are only available at the front desk.\u00a0The museums also offers free admission to individuals with Cool Culture and SNAP EBT cards as well as active-duty military families.<\/p>\n

Everyday there is something to create in the Walk-In! Workshop.\u00a0Throughout June, kids will make\u00a0Sunscapes,\u00a0Participants will use chalk pastels to explore all the colors of the sun to create their own unique solar images.\u00a0Wed-Fri 1:00 pm \u2013 4:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 12:00 pm \u2013 4:00 pm.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0Thursday, June 4\u00a0and\u00a0Friday, June 5,\u00a0when NYC Public Schools are out, the museum will offer a School Break Day Camp, for ages 5-9, from 9:00 am \u2013 4:00 pm filled with science experiments,\u00a0art-making\u00a0to outdoor exploration and exhibit play!<\/p>\n

Daily rates are $85 ($70 for members), with an optional extended day available from 4:00\u20135:30 pm for $15.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On\u00a0Saturday, June 6\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0Crazy Science: Dry Ice\u00a0Discovery\u00a0from\u00a04:00 pm \u2013 4:45 pm.\u00a0Led by engaging \u201cCrazy Scientists,\u201d this interactive program features a series of experiments designed to spark curiosity and excitement about science. Attendees will witness scientific demonstrations centered around dry ice \u2013 a solid that does not melt into a liquid but instead changes directly into a gas!<\/p>\n

The Museum invites the community to a vibrant, free outdoor performance presented by the\u00a0Calpulli Mexican Dance Company\u00a0on\u00a0Sunday, June 7 from 2:00 pm \u2013 4:00 pm. This special event will have over 150 student performers who will showcase their training in traditional Mexican music and dance through an afternoon of performances celebrating culture, creativity, and community.<\/p>\n

ShopRite Kidz\u00a0Cook\u00a0invites caregivers and children to discover the joy of cooking together on\u00a0Saturday, June 13\u00a0where participants will prepare Sliders and Slaw.\u00a0Sessions are held at\u00a012:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. Space is limited and tickets are available at the door. Age range: 4 and up.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, June 20 at the Staten Island Community Alliance 6th\u00a0Annual Juneteenth Freedom Festival, The Children\u2019s Museum is proud to sponsor the performance by\u00a0Divi Roxx Kids, created by Grammy-nominated musician Divinity Roxx whose high-energy hip-hop, funk, and rock-inspired music is designed to inspire confidence, creativity, and self-expression in children. Among many illustrious accomplishments, Roxx toured and performed with Beyonce as her bassist and musical director. The performance will be in the late afternoon at the Tuscan Garden of Snug Harbor. Admission is free with pre-registration.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On\u00a0Saturday, June 27 from 11:00 am \u2013 4:00 pm\u00a0the museum\u2019s annual end of school year\u00a0Bounce House\u00a0returns for a day where kids are invited to jump, climb and slide their way through an inflatable castle.<\/p>\n

Saturday, June 28 will hold the Museum\u2019s monthly program,\u00a0Museum Movers & Shakers – through a variety of interactive workshops starting at\u00a011:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 1:00 pm.\u00a0Designed for children of all ages, participants will explore movement activities from dance games to beginner-friendly yoga.<\/p>\n

The final workshop is a special\u00a0Music Video Mania!\u00a0session from\u00a02:00 pm \u2013 3:00 pm, where participants will learn choreography inspired by trending dances and then take what they learned to the stage. This workshop introduces the basics of video production, including lighting and sound design, camera angles, and creative direction, offering a hands-on look at performance and media creation.<\/p>\n
