Eugene N. Pappas, conducted the blessing service, blessed the volunteers and visitors, and emphasized in his remarks the importance of preserving Greek heritage, the Orthodox faith, and community service.

As he stated: “Parish festivals symbolize the national pride of Greek Americans and hope for the future. They showcase Greek hospitality, kindness, culture, religion, and cuisine, while at the same time providing financial and moral support. They give us strength and encouragement that we are preserving our customs, traditions, and values in America. I am especially happy to see such a large number of young people helping and participating, and this fills us with optimism that Hellenism will continue to thrive.”

Parish Council President Haritini Pandis expressed, through The National Herald, the joy and satisfaction of everyone involved regarding the successful organization of the event.

“Not only our parish but also the wider Brooklyn community eagerly awaits our festival every year to enjoy delicious food and desserts, have fun, and spend quality time together. At the same time, funds are raised that are essential for the operating expenses of our church, the Greek school, Sunday school, and youth programs. I wish us all good health and that we may gather again next year to celebrate together.”

A group of volunteers are pictured including Parish Council President Haritini Pandis and festival coordinators Gus Vellios, Nick Paras, Christos Vellios, and Jimmy Kokotas. This year our children once again had the opportunity to learn the Greek language, religion, history, mythology, geography, traditions, Greek theater, poetry, songs, and religious hymns. We wish them continued success. May the Virgin Mary and the Three Hierarchs be with them throughout their lives.”

Some names were transliterated from the Greek.

BROOKLYN – The annual festival of the Three Hierarchs community in Brooklyn is being held from May 29…

[36
98,100,99,9,24,63
post-250182","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-brooklyn","tag-brooklyn","tag-brooklyn-headlines","tag-brooklyn-news","tag-new-york","tag-new-york-city","tag-nyc
["GET
