Some Park Slope neighbors are mourning after two women were found dead inside a building on Second Street Saturday night.<\/p>\n
Police identified the women as 58-year-old Olga Bracero and 23-year-old Kayla Wilson.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to the building just before 8 p.m. after a 911 call reported a woman had been assaulted. Police say Bracero was found unconscious with multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
According to a police source, Wilson was later found inside a bedroom. The source said her injuries appeared to be self-inflicted. The Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner of both deaths.<\/p>\n
Video obtained by News 12 shows blood smeared along hallway walls and up a staircase inside the building.<\/p>\n
On Monday, candles, flowers and balloons sat outside the building as neighbors stopped to pay their respects.<\/p>\n
Some neighbors told News 12 they believe Bracero and Wilson were mother and daughter, though police have not officially confirmed their relationship.<\/p>\n
Family friend Deshawn Jackson said he spoke with Wilson just days before her death.<\/p>\n
“Thursday, Kayla called me around 9:00 at night to ask me if she could come cook some food at my house,” Jackson said. “I cried because she’s like my niece. You know, her mother’s like my sister.”<\/p>\n
Jackson described Bracero as a vegan pastry chef who was well known and loved in her community.<\/p>\n
As the investigation continues, many questions remain unanswered.
