(WIBW) &#8211; The Riley County Police Department has arrested a suspect following a shooting in Manhattan on Saturday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The shooting occurred in the 1300 block of Marlatt Avenue. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/10\/12\/one-person-seriously-injured-manhattan-shooting-saturday-afternoon\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2025\/10\/12\/one-person-seriously-injured-manhattan-shooting-saturday-afternoon\/\">RCPD was called<\/a> to the 1300 block of Marlatt Ave. just before 2:00 Saturday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">There, police found a 35-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered first aid until emergency crews arrived.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The man was transported to Stormont Vail in Topeka for the treatment of his serious injuries. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Riley County police arrested 38-year-old Jacques Toliver, of Manhattan, on Tuesday, Oct. 14, around 5:01 p.m. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">RCPD said he was arrested after turning himself in without incident. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Toliver was arrested in connection with the following charges: <\/p>\n<p>Attempted first-degree murderAggravated assaultCriminal discharge of a firearmCriminal damage to property<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He was issued a $1 million bond and is confined in the Riley County Jail. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">RCPD said the investigation remains active. <\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WIBW.
