A man critically injured when a tractor trailer crashed into the car he was riding in\u00a0Friday night on the Long Island Expressway has died, Nassau County police said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Police identified the victim as Nuriddin Soliev, 31, of Glendale, Queens.<\/p>\n

Soliev was one of two\u00a0passengers in a 2023 Honda Civic that was headed west\u00a0on the LIE\u00a0when, police said, it was rear-ended by a 2011 Mack tractor trailer truck near Exit 34 in North Hills just before midnight Friday.<\/p>\n

Police said the Civic was driven by a 32-year-old man, who suffered minor injuries. A passenger in the Honda, identified only as a 33-year-old man, also suffered minor injuries, police said.<\/p>\n

The two injured occupants of the Honda were transported to hospitals, where\u00a0police said they were treated and released.<\/p>\n

But police said Soliev was critically injured in the crash and\u00a0died on Monday.<\/p>\n

Police also have not released the identities of the truck driver, the Honda driver\u00a0or passenger who was hurt.<\/p>\n

No charges have been filed in the\u00a0crash.<\/p>\n
